film about dramatic decisions and hope, which brings to life the song
Danny Boy. It won no less than 18 international awards.

Marek Skrobecki’s puppet animation Danny
Boy shows an individual at odds with the system. His emotions reveal his
otherness and need for acceptance. The production is a refined animated
film featuring elaborate puppets. According to the director, it was his
most difficult piece of work so far given the great number of puppets
appearing on set at the same time. This pessimistic animated film refers
by its title as well as by some motifs to the famous Irish ballad.
